Aptik 23.11

Aptik v23.11 is now available with some minor improvements.

What’s New

Restore PPA

Aptik will now check if the PPA has packages for the target Ubuntu release before adding the PPA.

For example, if a PPA has packages for Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) but does not have packages for Ubuntu 23.10 (Mantic) then the PPA will be skipped when restoring on Ubuntu 23.10. This avoids 404 errors due to the missing Release file when package information is refreshed using apt update.

Changelog

  • PPA: Fix detection for Launchpad PPAs
  • PPA: Check for the release file before adding PPA
  • PPA: Don’t retry if PPA does not have packages for release
  • Fix warnings for string_strip assertions
  • Fix warnings due to the new GLib version on Ubuntu 23.10

Existing users will receive the update automatically. If you face any issues, please re-run the installation steps you received at the time of purchase.

Minor changes. A bug was fixed which caused the package list to take a long time to load on the first run.
